Michael J. Hadjihannas

Michael J. Hadjihannas graduated from Royal Holloway University of London in 2006 earning a BSc degree in Management with Accounting, obtained MSc in Risk Analysis at King’s College London in 2007, and became a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2011, while working for five years with KPMG, Cyprus. In 2015, Michael Hadjihannas obtained the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) with Chartered Institute of Taxation. Further, he has obtained the Advanced Certification for Financial Services Regulatory Framework in 2018 by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and has been registered with the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Michael continues to expand his professional competencies, most recently obtaining the Professional Qualification Certification in February 2023 for a Trainer of Vocational Training, Level 5 by the Human Resource Development Authority of the Republic of Cyprus. As a qualified Fellow Charter Accountant (FCA), Michael oversees audit and taxation, financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements and industry specific concerns to client engagements, identifying where they may impact a client and reflect these in the audit documentation. With a considerable expertise in business valuations and restructuring, Michael is heading FinExpertiza Cyprus team in providing audit and assurance, business advisory, international tax planning and financial due diligence services, and serves on the Network IFRS Committee as a Member for the Global FinExpertiza, as well as the FinExpertiza Global Development Director for Europe. In addition to the technical side, as a natural leader and motivator committed to continuous development of the team, Michael is also heading the Operations Department of FinExpertiza Cyprus.
