Deletion of Cyprus companies due to non-payment of the annual levy
The Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property of the Republic of Cyprus (RoC) has announced the intention to proceed with the strike off of companies omitting to pay the annual levy, pursuant to Section 327(2A)(b) of the Companies Law, Cap. 113.
As provided in the Section 391 of the Companies Law, Cap. 113, if the company fails to proceed with payment of the annual levy of €350, due 30th June each year, for a period of 1 year from the date it became payable, the RoC may delete the company from the Register. Specifically, the companies omitting to pay the annual fee for any year in the period between 2012 and 2021, will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus and will be struck off from the Register within 3 months from the date of publication, in accordance with the Section 327(3)(c) of the Companies Law, Cap. 113.
