Michael J. Hadjihannas

Managing Director, Founder

Michalis I. Hadjihannas graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2006 with a BSc in Management and Accounting. He obtained an MSc in Risk Analysis from King’s College London in 2007, and in 2011 became a qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the ICAEW, after working for five years at KPMG Cyprus.

In 2015, Michalis earned the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Furthermore, in 2018, he obtained the Advanced Certificate in Financial Services Legal Framework from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and was registered with the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

As a supervisor in the Audit Department, Michalis is responsible for audit and taxation, accounting, financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and specific business concerns – identifying how these factors may impact a client and incorporating them into audit documentation.

With significant experience in business valuation, Michalis leads the FinExpertiza Cyprus team in delivering audit and assurance services, business advisory, international tax planning, and financial due diligence. He is also a member of the IFRS Committee of the Global FinExpertiza network and serves as FinExpertiza’s Global Development Director for Europe.

Beyond the technical aspect, as a natural leader who motivates and commits to the continuous development of his team, Michalis also heads the Business Department of FinExpertiza Cyprus.

George O. Tsamourlidis

Head of Tax and Advisory, Senior Audit Manager

George O. Tsamourlidis has graduated from Kuban Institute of International Business and Management in Krasnodar, Russia in 1998, with a dual concentration on Finance and Credit and has obtained his ACCA qualification in 2018. George has been pursuing his career in Cyprus since 2002, starting as an Accountant with Michael Loukas & Co, then with Panart Ltd and MSI Zervos & Co.

In 2007, George joined KPMG, progressing into supervising position in Audit and Assurance Division within his 5 year employment. Georges’ specialties are audit & review of holding and investment companies, investment funds, preparation of financial statements and corporation tax.

Being multilingual, George has been taking care mostly of Russian and Ukrainian clients, as well as Bulgarian, Greek and Cypriot, which entailed extensive travelling in an effort to accommodate his clients. FinExpertiza Cyprus welcomed George to their team in 2012 as the Manager, bringing onboard his expertise in handling investment companies and investment funds, customer orientated mindset and his diverse character.

George A. Petrou

Director, Senior Audit Manager, Compliance Officer

George A. Petrou graduated from University of Cyprus in 2008 with a degree in economics and proceeded to study the professional examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

George joined KPMG in July 2008 and trained for his ACCA qualification, which he obtained in March 2012. Within his 5 years of employment with KPMG in the Audit Department, George worked as a manager on numerous local and international companies, covering consumer and service sectors.

He specialized in the audit of trading, oil and gas, holding companies and investment funds. He was involved in several audits which took place both in Cyprus and abroad and has extensive experience in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and corporation tax. FinExpertiza Cyprus welcomed George to the team in 2014 as the Manager, bringing onboard his expertise in handling trading companies and investment funds.

On 31st March 2017 George was admitted a fellow (FCCA) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
